Now, on to the update...

This past weekend featured a bunch of overtime finishes, referees Brownsing the Browns, and the team-that-beat-the-Vikings losing 22-donut. It did not feature many BFIG knockouts.

WEEK 5 HEALTH CHECK: SWING, PENDULUM. SWING!

• Damage done: 675 started the week; 7 picked teams lost, knocking out 45 people; 630 of us are moving on to Week 5.
• Could it have been worse? YES. What did Commish tell you about the No-Jimmys? Records matter more than perception. The 1-2 Niners nearly beat the 1-2 Chargers, which would have caused our third sub-62% survival rate in five weeks. That would have been a record. Instead, the Chargers held on, 29-27.
• Closest call: Seahawks over Cardinals. The Cards miss a 40-something field goal. The Hawks make a 50-something field goal. Game over. Our reigning champ, @footballnovice, was on Seattle. Make that 29 straight BFIG wins. Incredible.
• Easiest win: Packers over Bills. Aaron Rodgers said the Packers played "sub-playoffs-level offense." The Packers won 22-0. The Bills beat the Vikings by 21 last week. Where am I?
• Team SZN record: 0-0. Ahhhh, Second Chance Survivor! My love, my freedom, my salvation.
