Friends in fast breaks,
You're still getting Commish, because Little GM is now among us. He uttered his first words at the ripe age of 8 hours old.
He said "May I live long and achieve something as big as Andre Johnson's hands."
The GM wept for 2 straight hours before responding, "May you dream as big as Hakeem Olajuwon's Dream Shake".
WEEK 19 PICKS
- Walking Bucket Wilt OAD
- The Worm Survivor
For the second straight week, The Brow (Anthony Davis) tops our One-and-Done pick board.
Provided he plays (he's a gametime decision with a foot injury), he's one of the safest bets we've had all SZN to get 30 or more.
His last 5 games: 30 points, 39, 38, 28, 30
And in that mere 28 point game, he pulled down 19 boards. Beast.
LeBron is still out, and as long as LeBron is out, it's BrowTown, baby.
If Davis played in a smaller - or simply less... Hollywood - town than LA, no doubt you'd have every hair salon and beauty shop in a 10-mile radius of the arena offering Brow Glam specials and Unibrow Blowout Extravaganzas in honor of his white-hot run.
Does a Unibrow Blowout even exist?
NOT IMPORTANT JUST GO WITH ME HERE.
GM will probably be back in this saddle next week. So enjoy the Commishshtick while you can...
PICK STATS
Walking Bucket Wilt OAD
- Brow (vs. TOR) was once again "top pick but not in an overwhelming way", with 39 picks
- As our top pick last week, he bagged 38 points vs. the Timberwolves
- His shots per game in the last 5: 20, 19, 22, 25, 17
- CONSISTENCY
- Next up on our pick board: Devin Booker (vs. SAC; sans KD) with 35 picks, Kyrie (at MEM, sans Luka) with 32 picks, and Embiid (vs. POR) with 25 picks
- That makes us 3-for-3 in our top picks being "because other star is injured"
- It's a sound strategy. Hey GM, can we get some "buckets when other dude is hurt" stats? GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT
- Embiid is back up to 3rd in our SZN utilization at 78%, behind SGA (80%) and Tatum (83%)
- We had ELEVEN guys with a single pick. Deep cuts SZN. DEEP CUTS SZN!
- Some noteworthy guys in that "1 pick" list: Desmond Bane (vs. DAL), who might literally combust in that game; Jordan Clarkson (at CHA), who is only on our list because nobody saw Lauri Markkanen becoming what he's become; and Bradley Beal (vs. ATL), who indeed still plays for the Washington Wizards and nobody knows why.

The Worm Survivor
- We're down to 8 steely survivors, in our third week of double picks
- They're making their 13th and 14th picks this week
- I don't know if you've looked at the Western Conference standings, but the NBA most definitely does not have 13-14 good teams this year. It might only have like 6.
- So what deep cuts did our 8 survivors go with?
- 6 on the anti-Pistons train, taking the Pacers on the road at Detroit
- 4 on the anti-Rockets train, taking the Bulls on the road at Houston
- 3 on the anti-Spurs train, taking the Nuggets on the road at San Antonio
- ARE YOU SENSING A THEME?
- While all three "anti" teams are indeed bad, you're never safe picking road teams in the NBA, especially when those road teams are mediocre themselves (Pacers, Bulls)
- Still, it's the 13th and 14th pick, and you have to feel decent about those picks given the cirumstances

PICK COMMENTS
@Mr_Rodgers_Neighborhood (Survivor: Bulls, Sixers): "This has turned into the, "Who's playing against the Rockets this weekend?" contest, and I'm riding that train all the way to the title."
Commish says: You've made it this far and NOW you are tempting the survival gods with this hubris? YOU KNOW BETTER, RODGERS.
@kbanaian (OAD: D. DeRozan): "The anti-Houston of the week."
Commish says: THE SURVIVAL GODS EXISTTTTTT (and they have powers over One-and-Done competitions, too, you know)
@StatCzar (OAD: J. Embiid): "This week my grandma has been sick. My mom offered to take her to the doctor. She said no at her age there was nothing any doctor could give her that wisdom of age hasn't already offered. So instead of some sort of modern medicine, her wisdom was that when he head hurt and she couldn't stand light, and she covered her head with a blanket a box of Kleenex under it, put Bones on endless loop on Hulu and told us it had to run its course and not to check on her as it would interrupt her recovery process. She refused all offers for us to bring her food or anything. Then when my mom saw her today, she yelled at her saying none of us took care of her when she was sick and that we all just left her to be miserable and that we don't make enough unexpected visits. So seems about par for the course. "
Commish says: Will your Grandma be a survival god in her next life? Please ask her and report back. Also, does Grandma Stat like basketball? WHY IS SHE NOT IN THE POOL?!?
@YikesVikes (OAD: J. Randle): "Julius Randle, Julius Randle, Julius Randle, Julius Randle, Julius Randle, I can hear the crowd yelling as he has his best game! "
Commish says: WAIT HOW MANY CLAPS BETWEEN NAME REPEATING? Also, guy plays for New York. Are we SURE that New York fans will chant about anything other than shitty refereeing?
@MONSTERXXX (OAD: D. Booker): "Book'em Dano ! What do you mean ? I said Book'em ! Book who ? You know who ! Devin Booker you fool , He Is late with his book from the library and needs to be Booked to learn how to score as many points as possible this week WHHHHOOWEEEEEEEEEE !! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH !!! "
Commish says: MONSTER DO YOU READ BOOKS ASKING FOR A FRIEND
