THE PICK DEADLINE IS NOW ALWAYS SUNDAY AT 10am PT! Early games (like Thursday Night Football) will lock individually. ALL picks will be locked every Sunday at 10am PT, and published to the website at that time.

Should you wait till Sunday to pick? ABSOLUTELY NOT. You can always change picks. Plus, you MUST get the Thursday game picked by Thursday kickoff in pools like the Weekly Pick'em.

We skip the Week 1 Thursday game entirely. It's the ONLY game we skip.

The literal worst thing you can do is miss a pick. Life is busy, SO LET US SAVE YOU.

Last year was a bloodbath. The worst Week 1 in BFIG Survivor history.

What's that, Survivor Gods? Week 1 losses produce future BFIG successes? YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT THEY DO, WILFORKIMUS.

Here is our Week 1 BFIG survival rate in each of our previous 14 years:

• 2012: 93.1%

• 2017: 80.9%

Two ways to read that list: Either we're due for a Barnwellian reversion to the mean and some easy Week 1s, or something about the NFL's evolution (parity? shorter preseason? unwillingness to pay vets?) is making Week 1 more difficult.
