RESULTS SUMMARY
Points One-And-Done
G. Antetokounmpo was NOT kind this weekend, smashing 48 points on HOU's head.
SGA took second place again this week, with 34 points. It's really weird to me that this just feels normal at this point.
The best possible weekly performance was 82 points, taking Giannis and SGA. Good work @pokerstan888 being the only person to nab this combo this week.
Our other top scorers were L. James (32), P. Bancher (32), A. Davis (31) and several dropping 30.
This was ANOTHER week pretty disappointing top picks. A. Edwards, T. Young, and J. Morant all ended up with 38 picks after backup substitutes. They scored 24, 13, and 21 points respectively. Yes, 13 for Trae is the most disappointing, but you're always hoping for 25+, so these are all let downs.
Best value pick goes to P. Banchero who scored 32 points for one picker. Worst value pick goes to J. Clarkson and J. Clarkson, who both put up an amazing 2 points.
We scored 21.8 points per pick, very close to the disaster we had back in Week 6.
For DNPs, 3 pickable players from our roster didn't play, leading to a 32 DNP picks. This was driven heavily by L. Doncic, who was a late scratch, catching 21 pickers. But we had no Double DNPs, love that.
As always - Double check the injury report (linked on the pick page) on Thursday or Friday to make sure your picks aren't out. We leave a note on known injured players during the week and remove players with longer-term injuries to try and help prevent this issue, but you have to take control of your destiny here.
Overall Standings Check In - @Dufresne is stil in first, but now shares the spot with @crimsonflash at 625 points. Prizes cut off at 20th, which sits at 583 points right now. There's half the SZN to go, so still plenty up for grabs!
Interval 2 Check In - @trashking held their lead with a 58 point week, now standing at 277 points. Interval 2 runs through Week 16 (just before the All Star game), so a few more weeks to go to try and get in the running. There are three Intervals and five places each, meaning every few weeks you've got something new to play for.
Squads Check In - Basket-Balling with Nigel took the lead from DFS Sweatshop by a single point at 1,708 points. But the top 3 are all within 1 point! Reminder that Squads lock on Jan 12th, get yours together to compete for bonus prizes!
Survivor #1
There were 16 incorrect picks this week, resulting in 12 eliminations. We had a 87.2% win rate, and lost another 3.5% of the Pool in the process. We now stand at 33.0% remaining.
DEN was our biggest loss this week, with 7 pickers. Our mid-tier picks with 2-7 pickers all lost.
Overall Standings Check In - There are still 113 players alive, 48 with no mistakes and 65 with one mistake. Lots of ball left to survive through!
Squads Check In - DFS Sweatshop took the lead with 29 wins. The top of the board is all within 1 win right now. Reminder that Squads will lock on Jan 12th, get yours together to compete for bonus prizes!
All 30 One-And-Done
OKC let us down, costing 14 pickers a win. But all our bigger picks had a good weekend.
Our win rate was 83.5% this week, despite our picked teams going 12-9.
Overall Standings Check In - We're now at a 19-way tie for the lead with 10 wins. Reminder that the NFL's All 32 Pool lasted through 11 weeks and 18 total picks with perfect records. We don't start double picks until Week 19, so we'll see if anyone can last until then staying unbeaten.
Our Squads Leader is Basket-Balling with Nigel kept their lead, now at 29 wins. Still a lot of season left! Reminder that Squads will lock on Jan 12th, get yours together to compete for bonus prizes!
Yours in Roundball Rock,
The GM
